The Breaking Barriers Dinners can be best described as a Forum for a night on a specific topic. The Moderator comes prepared with questions to guide the conversation and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to share and ask questions. Everyone is expected to participate. There are no voyeurs.

An ideal participant comes with an open mind and genuine curiosity. Everyone is expected to be vulnerable and share at a deep level. The goal of the dinner is not to change your mind but rather to allow you to share and hear the different perspectives of those around the table. We thank you in advance for having the desire and courage to listen to what might be uncomfortable.

This dinner is focused on the topic of Children and Money.

This topic has a quantifiable aspect as well as a qualitative influence. Specifically, how does money impact a child's development, ambition, and values. Growing up with access to money and/or a generous inheritance can provide children with unparalleled opportunities, freeing them from financial burdens and enabling them to pursue their passions without monetary constraints. It can also be a stepping stone to philanthropy, entrepreneurship, or deep dives into arts and sciences. However, the flip side is the risk of fostering entitlement or complacency. As parents, how do we balance these and provide the right guidance so we do not diminish the value of hard work and personal achievement in a child's eyes.

Chapter Retreat 2026

Join us for a powerful two-day retreat led by renowned EO facilitator Mark Sanna. Designed for EO Connecticut Members, SAPs, Accelerators, and SLPs, Life with Intention is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and realign with what matters most. Spouses and partners are welcome—and encouraged. This immersive experience helps you step away from daily demands, reconnect with your core values, and move forward with clarity and shared purpose.

Experience Life With Intention:

  • Slow Down & Reconnect: Through guided reflection, facilitated meditation, and deep listening exercises, you’ll shift from stress and reactivity into awareness and clarity. Identify your core personal and family values and examine how aligned your current life truly feels.

  • Challenge What’s Holding You Back: Explore the beliefs and patterns that may be limiting your growth. Gain insight into what drives meaningful achievement — and what may be standing in the way.

  • Design What’s Next: Using creative exercises and a Life Balance Visual Inventory, you’ll thoughtfully map the next chapter of your personal and professional journey. Transform insight into intention, and intention into action.
